So I figured I should get that rant off of my main page, but I'm slightly stumped in regards to exciting updates. Hum. Life is pretty okay. It's now been seven months since I moved away from home and ended up in the mountains. Things are pretty scenic and there's a lot of wildlife (I've seen a grey owl, an ermine, a pack of coyotes in an alley at night and way too many elk and deer), the job that I moved for is going well and I think I'm starting to get the hang of things. It's definitely keeping me busy!
But the biggest development is this: THE IMAC IS FINALLY HERE. WITH ME. WE ARE REUNITED *flails* I recently moved into a new rental situation with a bigger room and my first priority was getting the iMac, my scanner and my tablet out here.
The only other update I have is that man I really really REALLY want to finish the Tamers 100. It metaphorically looms over me every day and I would love to move on to other projects (eg. Darby and Squiggy/Krakensville) but I'm scared I'll never finish it if I do. And I have come way too far to quit. I seem to recall Mike Mignola once commenting during a panel that his main incentive for finishing things was just wanting to move on to the next project (that and hoping that the next project would be less crappy)
Speaking of which, several prompts are stumping me and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to offer suggestions for Tamers scenarios or characters that would fit 'em? I'll totally credit you if I use your suggestion! The prompts in question are:
51. Sport
55. Waiting
56. Danger Ahead
59. No Way Out
61. Fairy Tale
64. Multitasking
66. Traps
67. Playing the Melody
80. Words
82. Can You Hear Me?
93. Give Up
94. Last Hope
95. Advertisement
97. Safety First
98. Puzzle
99. Solitude
At this point I'm totally kicking myself in the butt for already using obvious scenarios/characters that would fit these prompts earlier in the challenge. Things were so much more open-ended then *nostalgia*
