Tamers 012. Insanity by ovibos Tamers 012. Insanity by ovibos
The D-Reaper doing what it does best, traumatizing kids for life xP

Edit: I realized in hindsight that numbers 12 to 14 seem to have turned into a miniseries. So I went back into this one to make it more consistent with the rest.

This scene immediately threw the nightmare fuel meter into overdrive. I actually screamed when the true form of J-Reaper appeared.

I don't blame Takato and his Digimon from running. I would run like the wind if that actually happened.

Nice use of expressions and colours, really suits the characters!

Whew. I told myself I'd stop after rewriting season 02, but watching Tamers again makes me want to novelize some of it... and this picture helps, too.

This part is just madness! I really like it but I had a lot of pity for Takato and more especially for Jery...

There really needs to be more Tamers art, and of this in particular. I love Digimon as a whole, but Tamers (specifically the end) can be called the Majora's Mask (of the Zelda series) of the franchise.

This is probably my favorite villain in the series, simply because of how malevolent and yet facinating it is.

lol, I find your comparison to Majora's Mask to be fitting, because it's my favourite Legend of Zelda game. What can I say? I seem to love creepiness, angst and the darker subject matter in general XD

oh god this scene was so fucking creepy

I was never bothered by "dead inside eyes" in anime until I saw Jeri. Uggggccckhh.

I'm betting Jeri and Takato both needed therapy after all the D-Reaper stuff ;_;

Yeah, that'd just be weird if they tried to get together afterward.*shudders*

My boyfriend has taken to telling me the D-Reaper will come get us if I'm sad. ]:<

I remember this part! Guilmon was like, "That's not Jeri!" And the D-reaper kept quoting things Jeri said to Takato so it messed him up, I love the colors and Guilmon looks all round and huggable! :D

Do you hand-draw these or what do you use to make them?
ovibos Featured By Owner Dec 5, 2008  Hobbyist General Artist
I did this challenge in the interest of working on my traditional drawing skills, so all of these started out drawn in pencil in a sketchbook. The colouring and some of the lighting effects were done digitally in Photoshop and in certain instances I tweaked the compositions and painted in more details digitally ^^
