A children's book illustration for Alison Baird's The Dragon's Egg. This is definitely the result of a few too many hours spent rendering in Photoshop.

The character studies are superb, with an unusual Oriental - influenced dragon, and the colors are so warm and magical. I love how the dragon has been painted, especially the fur and its colours contrast nicely to its warm surrounding colours. I love its face as well :'D
